First Night Salt Lake presents an evening of Lousiana roots music and New Orleans funk with the All-Star Voodoo Revue featuring the incomparable Papa Mali, the "pride of New Orleans" Henry Butler, and Big Chief Monk Boudreaux.
Don't miss the chance to join the First Night Second Line-a New Orleans tradition, and a first for Salt Lake. We'll be hitting the streets, marching to the beats, dancing like crazy, and ringing in the New Year. Not sure how? We've got New Orleans' own Hot 8 Brass Band to show you how to groove.
But that's not all, we've prepared a spicy gumbo of performances to round out the evening: a circus of fire performers, break-dancers, hypnotists, folk dancers, and much more. There are surprises around
every corner!
Interactive art is an exciting tradition at First Night Salt Lake. Be inventive with our Giant Lite-Brites. Create imaginative projects in the Party Makers tent. Broadcast your Video Resolutions on nearby skyscrapers. Embrace your star power in the Karaoke Theater.
End the evening with a bang at the Wells Fargo Fireworks Extravaganza. New this year, don't miss Discovery Gateway's Ball Drop of Global Proportions.
